2011 PLANET CHEER EVALUATIONS
1st Evaluation: Saturday, June 12th, 10am-Noon
2nd Evaluation: Saturday, August 14th, 10am-Noon
Evaluations at Planet Cheer are for all ages and all skill levels. Cheerleaders will be evaluated on all aspects of cheering
including jumps, motion technique, tumbling, flexibility, and ability to learn material. The staff will determine team placement
based on the Evaluation information. Cheerleaders only need to attend 1 Evaluation session. Those cheerleaders who
attend the 1st Evaluation and gain skills over the summer may attend to second session to show the staff any improvements.
All cheerleaders will be placed on a team.
Cheerleaders who attend the 1st Evaluation and are a registered Planet Cheer member are able to participate on the Summer
Performance Team for FREE!

GALAXY TRY-OUTS
August
7th
& 8th,
10:00-1:00Try-outs
for our Level 5 team Galaxy will be a 2-day process. If you are
trying out for Galaxy, you do not need to attend Evaluations.
Cheerleaders will be judged on motion techniques, ability to learn
material, jumps and tumbling out of jump sequences, stunting
including
coed and transitional stunting, tosses and tumbling.
Galaxy is Planet Cheer's highest level squad that competes with the
sole purpose of
making it to the exclusive Cheerleading World's in
Orlando, FL.
Cheerleaders
interested in trying out for this squad should possess high-level
skills in at least two of the following areas:
Jumps:
level or better, able to complete a triple whip combination jump
Stunting:
Able to fly or base full ups and transitional stunting, high level
tosses including kick doubles. Flyers should have all body positions
in the air and should be able to double from one leg or be willing to
learn.
Tumbling:
Cheerleaders with at least a layout are encouraged to try-out. Full
twists, double full twists, and triple toe tucks are what is looked
for.

TEAM PRACTICES
Practices
for Galaxy will begin in August. Practice schedule will change in
September. Alternates will be taken for Galaxy, but will not be
named until October.
