Deneka (Fortier) Deletetsky

Deneka is the co-owner of Fortier Family Cheer Center and coach/choreographer at Planet Cheer. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1996. She attended Troy State University in Alabama, where she graduated in 2000 with a double B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism & Public Relations. She is an NCA certified coach, a Level 5 certified coach through USASF in addition to certification by the American Sports Education Program and the American All-Star Program. She is a 2-time recipient of the Auburn/Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame President's Award, back to back Class A Maine State Title holder, and was selected the 2004 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference "Coach of the Year." She is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR. Currently, Deneka coaches Planet Cheer's Youth 3, Senior 4.2, Senior 4 and International 5 teams, as well as choreographs for several local high schools.

Tiffany (Fortier) LeBrun

Tiffany is the co-owner of Fortier Family Cheer Center and coach/choreographer at Planet Cheer. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1998. She is a 2002 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hofstra University located in Long Island, New York. While attending Hofstra, she was a member of the All-Girl squad and competed nationally. She is an NCA Certified coach, a Level 5 certified coach through the USASF, in addition to certification received by the American Sports Education Program and the American All-Star Program. Tiffany began her coaching career at Poland Regional High School as the varsity coach prior to starting Planet Cheer. In her 3 years as varsity coach, the team earned 3 Class B Maine State Regional titles, and a Class B Maine State Title (the first in the young school’s history). She is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR. She currently coaches Planet Cheer’s Youth 3, Senior 4.2, and International Open 5 teams, and choreographs for several local high schools.

Matt Hanley

Matt is the Tumbling Coordinator for Andy Valley and a Planet Cheer coach/choreographer. He graduated from Gardiner High School in 2004. Matt instructs all cheer tumble classes specializing in teaching youngsters proper technique and body control. He is an amazing gymnast, trained at Mainely Gymnastics in Augusta. He is a Tri-State Champion gymnast and has been recognized throughout New England. Matt continues to improve his own skills as a member of Galaxy, Planet Cheer's International Open Level 5 team. Matt is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR. He currently coaches the Planet Cheer's Junior 2 and Senior 4 teams.

Amanda Scripture

Amanda is a Tumbling coach for Andy Valley and a Planet Cheer coach/choreographer. She graduated from Poland Regional High School in 2004. She is a Level 10 gymnast, trained by Don White at Andy Valley Gymnastics. She is a 5-time Maine State All  Around Gymnastics Champion and a 3-time Regional competitor. Amanda recently became a World Champion as a member of the first ever Team USA All-girl cheerleading squad and competed in the first ICU World Championships in Orlando, FL where Team USA earned gold. Amanda was also named captain and media spokesperson of Team USA for 2009. Amanda is certified by the American Sports Education Program and is CPR certified. She continues to improve her skills as part of Galaxy, Planet Cheer's International Open Level 5 team and as a standing member of Team USA. She currently coaches the Planet Cheer's Junior 2 and Open 6.

Tamiko O'Connell

Tamiko is an original member of Planet Cheer, and is now a Planet Cheer coach/choreographer. She is a 2006 graduate of St. Dominic's High School, where she was captain of her 2005 & 2006 competition squads. She is also a NCA All-American cheerleader. Tamiko continued her cheering career as a University of Maine competitive cheerleader and as a member of the Planet Cheer Super Novas Open Team. Tamiko is currently a member of the Maine Red Claws Dancers, the official dance team of the first ever NBA Development League team in Maine. Tamiko is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR. and currently coaches the Planet Cheer Starbursts.

Alyson Banks

Alyson is a Planet Cheer coach/choreographer. She is a 2006 graduate of Lewiston High School where she cheered at varsity level all four years. She was captain of her 2006 competition squad. She holds 3 Class A Maine State Championships and is a NCA All-American Cheerleader. She continued her cheering career on Planet Cheer's Super Novas Open Team. Alyson is currently in her senior year of college at the Clark F. Miller School of Radiologic Technology at Central Maine Medical Center and hopes to pursue a career in Sonography after graduation. Alyson is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR. She currently coaches the Planet Cheer Starbursts.

Christina Almy

Christina has been the Cheer 101 class instructor since 2008. She is a 1997 graduate of Lisbon High School where she was a cheerleader. She has coached at every level of cheerleading including Youth/Rec, Middle School and the JV/Varsity level at Lisbon High School for 3 years, where she was certified by the AACCA. She is an Judge/Official for the Maine Principal's Association of high school competitive cheering with a Bronze level certification for the NFHS. She continued her cheering career in 2007 as a team member of the Planet Cheer Super Novas Open team. She is the proud mother of two daughters, MacKenzie and Danica. She is currently the president of the Planet Cheer Parent's Association.
